Worcester Goalkeeper Academy postponed to the 1st February 2013

When snow first falls it looks magical. Even going out in it at first, having snowball fights, sleding and building snowmen is fun, but having to postpone the Academy 2 weeks on the trot is not fun at all as we are desperate to get back to coaching and learning!

So again please accept our appologies for these snowy and icy conditions, that mean for health and safety reasons we are having to postpone for 1 more week. We shall hopefully see you next Friday 1st February 2013.

It's Snow Joke, bad weather delay's the start of the Worcester Goalkeeper Academy

Bad Weather means the Worcester Goalkeeper Academy shall now re-commence on the 25th January 2013

Just as we have this Friday’s activities all prepared, the weather men issue bad weather warnings… With heavy snowfall forecast over most of the country, Worcester included, means that (even though we are dedicated Goalkeepers and Coaches) we have had to postpone our start to next Friday…

Very sorry for this short delay, normal service shall be resumed next week! 😉

2011-2012 Awards Evening – You all deserved your awards

So after the fun and games on the final day of this season’s Academy, we had our Awards Ceremony. We have seen improvements in every single goalkeeper at the Academy and as such we gave them all a well deserved medal to praise their efforts at the Academy.

Special recognition went to Sam Causley, who after much discussion between the coaches was awarded the Worcester Goalkeeper Academy Coaches’ Award . We all agreed that not only have we seen improvement in Sam’s goalkeeping (like all our keepers) but also we were impressed by the effort he puts in every week, his all round attitude to training and that in terms of coachability, all the coaches agreed that Sam always listens to our advice and puts in to practice what he is taught…

… Well done Sam and indeed well done to all our Goalkeepers!

See you in September!
